Only 600 tickets are being sold, and are priced at $100 each.
As well as being able to purchase tickets from the Foundation office (in person or by phone), new this year is that supporters can purchase their ticket from either the Boyer Ajax car dealership or Boyer Pickering car dealership.
The winning ticket will be drawn at the Ajax Pickering Hospital on Thursday December 19, 2024 at noon. The winner does not need to be present at the draw.

This successful fundraising venture has annually raised vital funds to support equipment purchases at the Ajax Pickering Hospital, including:
- A surgical tower used in the operating rooms for the diagnosis and treatment of rectal cancer. With just the touch of a button, surgeons can engage an endoscopy near infrared fluorescence mode which crisply differentiates colour and shading so that blood flow as well as how well blood is flowing through the tissue can easily be seen and assessed. At the time of the purchase, Ajax Pickering Hospital was the first hospital east of the GTA to acquire this equipment, and was only one of five in the whole of Ontario.
- Smart pumps used throughout the Ajax Pickering Hospital. With one of these intravenous (IV) pain pumps at the bedside, it’s like the patient has, right there, their own personal virtual pharmacist who knows the safe dosing for the medications they are taking. Attached to an IV pole, the smart pumps are uploaded with the most up‐to‐date drug library and medication parameters, essentially transforming them into mini computers. This means that when the pump is programmed with the patient’s medication and dosage, it will immediately alert the medical team if ‐ unintentionally ‐ the amount has been set to too little or too much. Plus, as the smart pumps are Wi‐Fi‐enabled, any updates to the drug library can be made immediately and simultaneously to every single pump in the hospital, without having to remove them from the floor to be manually re‐programed.
- Central Monitoring System for the Intensive Care Unit. When a slight change in a patient’s status might have huge repercussions for their treatment options or on the progress of their recovery, it is essential that medical staff can track and analyze the most up-to-date information. This is especially crucial for the patients in the hospital’s ICU. The new monitoring system is the next generation of connectivity that will provide – in real time – even more vital statistics to the medical team about their patients, enabling prompter and even more informed responses, whether they are viewing the results on a screen from inside the patient’s room, from a central location within the unit or even remotely from off site. This new technology is part of a virtual system of care that expands the medical team from just those at the bedside to a broader group who might be physically located further afield.
Last year, the car raffle funded five new stretchers for the surgical program. Right after the draw, representatives from the Boyer Group personally delivered this equipment to the very excited staff!
