Lakeridge Health, one of Ontario’s largest health-systems, invites passionate, experienced individuals to join the Board of Trustees.
Help shape the governance of an organization dedicated to transforming health care in Durham Region and beyond. As a board member, you will ensure exceptional care standards and advocate for the health and wellness of our communities.
Lakeridge Health is particularly seeking individuals who can help them address the following areas of opportunity on our Board:
- Young Adults: Bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
- LGBTQ2S+ Representation: Ensure inclusivity and diverse viewpoints in decision-making.
- South/Southeast/West Asian and Indigenous Communities: Help us better represent and understand the needs of these populations.
- Experience in the following areas to complement our Board membership:
- Public Affairs and Communications
- Government Relations
- Quality Improvement and Assurance
- Corporate Business Management
- Finance & Healthcare Administration (community, acute, or long-term care)
- Information Technology
- Research
- Clinical
Their ideal candidates will bring a passion for health care and have a track record of contributing to the strategic direction of non-profit organizations at the governance level. If you are a community leader who resides in the broader Durham Region area – particularly Oshawa or North Durham – and are ready to bring your skills and perspective to the table, we want to hear from you!
A board member is expected to commit the time required to perform Board and committee duties. The Board meets approximately eight times a year, directors are also expected to serve on at least one standing committee. Committees generally meet monthly.
