Recognizing great patient care is easy to do

Lately the Ajax Pickering Hospital Foundation has been reminded just how vital our hospital frontline staff are and the incredible impact they can leave on their patients and family members.

The Foundation’s Circle of Gratitude program is a really special way to acknowledge a particular staff member or department for their dedication & hard work.

When Foundation staff deliver a hand written card and pin to an individual or hold a celebration for a department that has been recognized, they get to witness just how touched each of the staff members are are knowing they were thought of.

Here are a few touching messages that the Foundation has recently received from patients and their families with their tribute donations:

”I want to express my sincere thanks to the wonderful nurses on 2 North. Their patience & compassion toward my husband allowed him to spend his last days surrounded by caring people in a peaceful environment and allowed his to die with his dignity intact. Thank you very much.”

”We are very grateful for the care given to Paul during his surgery, including: Dr. Xeroulis (surgeon), Dr. Dimitri (anesthesiologist), Kelly (RN) and the whole surgical team.”
