The Ajax Pickering Hospital Foundation is launching its 2024 telemarking campaign on August 7,
2024.
This activity is part of the Foundation’s annual strategy to connect with donors to give them easy, but impactful, opportunities to support the Ajax Pickering Hospital and our community’s health care needs.
Callers will be encouraging donors to make donations in support of new echocardiograms needed at Ajax Pickering Hospital.
According to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 9 in 10 Canadians have at least one risk factor for heart conditions, stroke or vascular cognitive impairment. And one person dies in Canada every five minutes from heart conditions, stroke or vascular cognitive impairment.
And with an aging population, and an increased patient volume with cardiac issues being seen in our emergency department and outpatient clients, as well as being admitted to the hospital, the need for new – and upgraded – echocardiograms at Ajax Pickering Hospital is critical.
