A big THANK YOU to Mayor Shaun Collier and the Gala’s organizing committee for choosing the Ajax Pickering Hospital as their main Charity of Choice for the 2025 and 2026 Ajax Mayor’s Gala. Funds will be used to purchase multiple Automated Drug Dispensing Units for the surgical and medical units at the Ajax Pickering Hospital. These purchases will have a significant positive impact for the hospital staff and every patient cared for at the Hospital.
This event is always spectacular, but more importantly its success means that it is able to make life-changing donations to multiple organizations within our community, meaning that all Ajax’s residents benefit!
Since the Inaugural Gala in June 2019, the Ajax Mayor’s Gala has raised $1,300,000 net to support organizations making a meaningful impact in our community!

At the Ajax Mayor’s Gala 2025, Boots & Bow Ties, guests will be transported to where the buffalo roam and the deer and the antelope play. The Gala committee invites you to don your ten gallon hat and dust off your best dancing boots as you join them for a gourmet meal, thrilling entertainment and a rootin’ tootin’ good time!

By automating the dispensing process, Drug Dispensing Units
- ensure unparalleled accuracy & precision in medication administration
- minimize the risk of adverse drug events and enhance patient outcomes
- use real-time tracking & inventory management features that empower our health care professionals with the ability to closely monitor medication usage as well as expiration dates
- fortify patient safety even further with advanced security & controlled access mechanisms that provide an additional layer of protection, preventing unauthorized access & theft
The units are appropriately customized with the necessary modules to match the medication needs of the patient population of each unit.
Past donations to the Ajax Pickering Hospital by the Ajax Mayor’s Gala include:
- 2024: 12 new baby bassinets for the Women’s & Children’s program that were put into service immediately after the photo opp!
- 2023: creation of the “Ajax Square Gardens” Sports Lounge at Lakeridge Gardens Long-Term Care Home (beside the hospital)
- 2022: donation to the Compassion Fund which helps hospital staff to provide patients with basic necessities or comforts of home as part of a dignified patient experience
