We are very excited that in partnership with the Town of Ajax, and supported by the tremendous & experienced folks at We Grow Foods & Miinikaan Innovation & Design, a new Indigenous Community & Healing Garden has been built at Ajax Pickering Hospital.

 

The design & chosen plants thoughtfully integrate components of indigenous history and learnings, as well boast some of our favourite vegetables.

 

The garden provides a space of relief and recreation for hospital staff, patients, volunteers and community members as well as enhance our connection to the indigenous peoples of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island.

 

And the foods harvested from the garden will be shared.
